How it all started
In 2015, in a small workshop in Podil, an idea was born that changed the lives of many people. The founder of Vicelli, Nataliia, after many years of working in the footwear industry, realized one simple truth: real footwear is not a mass-produced item from an assembly line, but a craft created for a specific person.
Working as a craftsman at a factory, he saw how thousands of pairs of shoes came out identical — without a soul, without attention to the person who would wear them. That is when the question arose: “What if we return to the traditions when every pair was a masterpiece?”
That is how the Vicelli atelier appeared — a place where shoes are created not just for sale, but for you.
What does Vicelli mean to us?
Vicelli is not just a name. It is our philosophy:
- Vi — from the word “Vita” (life in Italian)
- Celli — from “eccellenza” (excellence in Italian)
Life in excellence — that is what we put into every pair.
First steps: 2015–2017
The first two years were the hardest. The workshop had only 3 craftsmen and one leather cutting table. Clients came with distrust: “Why do your shoes cost so much?” We answered simply: “Try them on — and you will feel the difference”.
And they felt it.
The first client, Andriy from Kyiv, ordered classic oxfords for his wedding. After the fitting, he said a phrase that we still remember today:
“This is the first footwear in my life that doesn’t need breaking in. It fit perfectly from the very first step.”
That was when we realized — we are on the right path.
Today: 2026
Over 10 years we have grown from a small workshop into a team of 17 professionals:

- 🎨 Shoemakers — give the shoes their final polish
During this time, we have produced over 1000 pairs of shoes, and each of them is unique. There are no two identical pairs, because there are no two identical people.
Our values
Quality without compromise
We work only with Italian and Turkish leather from trusted suppliers. Each leather piece undergoes a thorough inspection — if it does not meet our standards, we do not use it. Even if it means delaying an order.
Example: In 2019, we rejected a batch of leather worth $5000 because we noticed microcracks. The client is more important than money.
Individual approach
Every foot is special. Some have a wide foot, some have a high instep, some have asymmetry. We do not force your foot to fit a standard — we create a last specifically for you.
Story: We were approached by Olena from Odesa, who couldn’t find comfortable pumps for 15 years due to her wide feet. We created an individual last for her. A month later, she returned for a second pair. Today she has 7 pairs of Vicelli.
Honesty and transparency
We do not hide our prices. We do not promise the impossible. If we see that your idea won’t be comfortable — we will tell you honestly.
For example: If you want boots made of thin leather for winter frosts, we will recommend a denser material. Even if it means less revenue for us.

Здала дорогі чобітки на реставрацію, була вказана ціна в 1500 грн (реставрація шкіри та заміна набійок), так само потрібно було зробити хімчистку, на що мені сказали "ми спробуємо", загальна сума 2750 грн. Коли я приїхала забирати взуття мені сказали що це клей, і вони нібито не змогли нічого зробити, хоча там клею не було і близько, взуття прошите машинкою. (Ну а як вони ще виправдовуватимуть свій непрофесіоналізм).
Я сплативши 1700 грн поїхала з цим взуттям додому. Вибачте, за дві набійки та 2 см фарби на шкарпетках взяти 1700 грн це перебір! ті? Коли я привела взуття в інший цех, мені сказали, що сказали, що взуття було зіпсоване попереднім цехом, і що на відновлення потрібно чимало часу, але вони постараються все зробити. Так ось, хлопці вже вивели жовтий колір, і вони стали біло-білі! Те, що не могли зробити взуттьовики з Vicelli.
